This year, as you know, COVID hit us all hard! It threw many families into food insecure situations that they had never before faced. CARES saw an increased need of about 25% and we distributed over 1/2 a million pounds of food this year to Pickens County families in need!
In the year that we distributed MORE FOOD than ever before, we had to cancel all of our 3 BIG fundraisers for the year. So, in these next 25 days of December. we are trying to make up for lost time and raise $25,000. Is it ambitious? Yes it is. But we know how much PICKENS CARES for its citizens who are in need.
